Sara Shikhman

Managing Partner

Sara Shikhman is an Ivy-League trained corporate attorney and entrepreneur with over 14 years of experience. Shikhman managed the sales, marketing, and legal teams for two high-growth medical aesthetic businesses: Juvly Aesthetics, a medical spa with 12 locations in 5 states and 150+ employees; and Aesthetic Record, a medical software app and electronic medical record servicing over 1,000 aesthetic practices around the country. While at Juvly and Aesthetic Record, Shikhman grew the companies from $4,000 in annual revenue in 2014 to nearly $16,000,000 in annual revenue in 2019. Before this, Shikhman was CEO of BedroomFurnitureDiscounts, an e-commerce company, and grew the company to $13,000,000 in annual revenue in less than 4 years. Shikhman also practiced corporate law at a top law firm in New York and was a professor of business law at Pace University. Shikhman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2006.

Shirin Adelman

Partner

Shirin Adelman is a graduate of Princeton University and University of Pennsylvania Law School. She has two decades of legal experience with a focus on healthcare, finance, employment and real estate. Adelman is licensed to practice law in five states in the Northeast and in the Federal courts. Adelman has represented physicians, healthcare providers, Independent Practice Associations (IPAs), management companies, and State Medical Societies on healthcare law. She has provided legal counsel on contracts, employment issues, physician/hospital joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions of health care entities, physician-owned ambulatory surgery center (ASC) formation and shareholder admissions, and has handled licensure, certification, and risk management issues for these entities.

Shelly Shiflet

Associate

Shelly Shiflet has been admitted to the Florida Bar since 2007 and has spent the last 13 years at a large hospital system in Florida that included over 500 physicians on staff, an inpatient rehab, hospice service, and multiple physician practices. Shelly earned her undergraduate degree from Brevard College in North Carolina, a Masters in Business Administration from Western Carolina University, and her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. Ms. Shiflet served in multiple roles including Assistant General Counsel and VP / Chief Compliance Officer.  She is well versed in both the business and compliance side of healthcare.

Allison Powell

Associate

Allison Powell is a graduate of the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where she earned both her Juris Doctor and a Masters in Business Administration. While in school, Allison served as a law clerk for Lengea before accepting a full-time associate position. Prior to working for Lengea, Allison gained legal experience interning for two large corporations as well as the Louisiana Attorney General’s office. Allison obtained the highest grade in her first year legal writing and research class, going on to serve as a tutor for the next year’s students. She has also participated in her school’s moot court and alternative dispute resolution competitions, taking home Best Buyer Team and Best Contract titles.

Leo Rotenberg

Of Counsel

Leo Rotenberg has been a licensed California attorney since 2016 and is admitted to practice law in all California courts and in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Prior to becoming an attorney, Rotenberg spent 13 years working in the real estate and mortgage industries. His extensive experience gives him a unique perspective on the ever-evolving field of real estate law and its interdependence with emerging market trends. Rotenberg received his BA from UCLA, and his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law. He is also a California licensed real estate salesperson (DRE# 01913667) and mortgage loan originator (NMLS# 1490136).

Amanda Duckworth

Associate

Amanda Duckworth graduated from Cornell Law School in 2016 and went on to complete two clerkships for presiding judges in New Jersey, including in the Appellate Division. Her experience includes interning with the general counsel at Nestle and doing an associateship at a prestigious large law firm in Philadelphia. Duckworth is well-versed in litigation and her strong research and writing skills translate well to many practice areas, with a particular emphasis on healthcare law.
