We are thrilled to announce that Shirin Adelman, now Senior Counsel of Lengea has joined our team! Shirin is a graduate of Princeton University, and University of Pennsylvania Law School with two decades of legal experience, focused on healthcare, finance, employment and real estate. She is licensed to practice law in five states in the Northeast, and in the Federal courts.
Prior to joining Lengea, Shirin and her legal team managed a family office with over $400 million in alternative investments that included investments in healthcare technologies at all stages of development, and $2 billion in public equities. Shirin has worked as a corporate finance and restructuring attorney, has worked in a major international investment bank, and has served as in-house counsel to Longview Investments, a real estate investment company with over $300 million under management.
Shirin has represented physicians, healthcare providers, Independent Practice Associations (IPA’s), management companies, and State Medical Societies on healthcare law. She has provided legal counsel on contracts, employment issues, physician/hospital joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions of health care entities, physician-owned ambulatory surgery center (ASC) formation and shareholder admissions, and has handled licensure, certification, and risk management issues for these entities.
Shirin also has experience with data privacy and cybersecurity issues, having advised clients on terms of service, privacy policies, beta test, and licensing agreements for their technologies, and on SaaS (Software as a Service) agreements for clients that are expanding their technology platform. She has collaborated with the State of Connecticut on the state’s cybersecurity strategy.
